RELAY REGISTRATION & Team Divisions

Relay Registration*

Scenario 1: Create a NEW TEAM and PASSWORD

  • Team Creator must select “CREATE NEW TEAM” and choose a TEAM NAME and create a TEAM PASSWORD
  • Select the number of runners (minimum 2, maximum 6), team division, and fill in the team description
  • Next, the team creator needs to fill out his/her contact information and t-shirt size
  • The team creator has the choice to pay for himself/herself only or for the entire team
  • After payment is processed, the team creator will receive an email confirmation with TEAM NAME and TEAM PASSWORD (the one set up initially with TEAM NAME) and a link to the registration page
  • Team Creator must forward this email to all his/her teammates so that they can sign up on the team

Scenario 2: Join an EXISTING TEAM

  • Select “JOIN EXISTING TEAM”
  • From the drop-down menu, find the TEAM NAME and enter PASSWORD received from team creator
  • Enter your contact information and select a t-shirt size
  • If the team creator paid for all members you will not be required to make payment
  • If the team creator only paid for his/her entry fee you will be required to pay for your entry fee

ATTENTION:

  • Participants need to be at least 10 years of age on race day
  • Minors (under 18 years old) need a digital signature from their guardian during online registration

 

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: An original design Honolulu Ekiden T-shirt, commemorative finisher’s medallion for all finishers, and post-race refreshments and entertainment.

CANCELLATIONS: Your entry fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

 

Team Divisions

Open Female: Team must consist of all female participants.
Open Male: Team must consist of all male participants.
Open Mixed: Team must consist of a minimum of one male and one female participant.
Masters: Team must consist of members with sum of ages equal to or more than 300.
Kama‘aina: Team members must be residents of the State of Hawaii on race day.
Family/Ohana: Team must consist of participants who are immediate or distant family members.
Corporate/Public Service: Team must consist of members from the same organization.
Youth: Team must consist of six participants with the sum of ages equal to or less than 88.
Student (Female/Male/Mixed): Student (Male/Female/Co-ed): Team members can be a combination of middle and/or high school participants. Outgoing high school seniors (graduating May/June) can race with their existing teammates in the “Student” division. A mixed team of students (Middle School and/or High School) and/or College will be considered the team category of the oldest participant. If the team has 1 College student and 5 high school students, that will also be considered as a University/College category team.
University or College: Team members must be university or college students on race day.
Heroes: Team members can be a combination of Military, Police, Firefighter, National Guard, Coast Guard, and/or Life Guard participants.
